  • An exceptional antique brown transferware ironstone platter in the "Birds" pattern by Thomas Dimmock & Co. of Staffordshire, England. Decorated with graceful birds among flowering branches, this beautifully engraved Victorian design exemplifies the detailed transfer printing that made English pottery famous throughout the 19th century.

Thomas Dimmock & Co. operated in Shelton, Staffordshire, from 1828 to 1859, producing high-quality ironstone and earthenware for both the British and export markets. The impressed "STONE WARE" backstamp with the "BIRDS" pattern name and distinctive "D" monogram is recognized as a Thomas Dimmock mark from this period.
